World Book Day 2016!

This Year’s annual World Book Day was bigger and better than ever!

Children dressed as their favourite book character. There were many inventive costumes and everybody looked amazing.

The Round Table Library Group organised competitions for all year groups about their favourite book characters. The standard was extremely high and they had a hard time judging!

There was also a competition to match the teacher with their favourite book character – again, strong competition and worthy winners.

Working as role models, Year 9 worked with Year 2 on their reading.

The whole school came together in the Hall to hear the announcements of all the competition and costume winners – a huge ‘Well done!’ to all of them – Great work!

Then there was the ‘highlight’ of the day!!!! The staff performed a pantomime for the children – secretly written and rehearsed, it came as a huge surprise to all of the children gathered in the hall.

It is safe to say that no-one will ever forget the experience!!!!!!
