St. George´s School aims to reach out beyond the school gates and benefit those in the wider community.

We have one or two charities per year for which we fundraise as a whole school. 2016 has seen both the Children´s Hospital on Amsterdammer Straße as well as other children less fortunate than our pupils through the Christmas in a Shoebox initiative, benefit from the generosity of our families.

In addition to this, we are lucky enough to have two parent-led groups in our school, both of which organise many events throughout the school year.

The Round Table Cologne was founded more than 25 years ago. Since then, the members of the Round Table have been collecting donations through various activities, like the Bake- and Popcorn Sale, the Used Uniform Sale and other events like the annual BBQ or the Christmas Tea Party.

The donations are then allocated in a rotating system to the different school departments as earmarked funds.

Most recently, the Round Table has supported the Library with funds for books and bean bags, the Art Department for resources, a camera and tripod. Furthermore, the Round Table invested in a permanent table tennis table as well as benches for the playgrounds.

The International Club also supports the developments of children and young people. It is a registered charity run by volunteers and the club aims to share cultural experiences and common activities with children and young people of differing origins.

With the help of contributions from members, the club has been able to successfully run charity projects all over the world which benefit other children in different countries as well as our own. Closer to home, the club helps organise, and contributes to the payments for, trips for our youngest pupils.
