The first St. George´s Flea Market

Our first “St. Georges Flea Market”  was organized this past weekend by the dedicated members of the International Club. We are very proud and thankful to those who helped to make this a success. After being worried by the weather forecast, we were even lucky to have sun and comfortable temperatures!

Parents and children lovingly displayed stands with toys, books, sporting goods, guitars, golf bags, shoes, handbags, Lego, playmobil, bikes, knight castles, princess homes and so much more. The doors were open to the public and we welcomed interested visitors  to the school who stepped onto the playground, astonished by the fabulous offers.

Coffee, cake, drinks and popcorn were served with the support of the amazing Dadar Family. Rachna Dadar and her daughter, Sienna baked and sold cake and collected over 200 Euros which will be donated to UNICEF. Her husband supported the International Club by selling coffee, popcorn, drinks, and cookies. The Popcorn Machine was provided by the Round Table for this day. Thank you so much to the Round Table!

By the end of the day not everything was sold but the International Club, teachers, parents and pupils had had a wonderful day.

The International Club is happy to announce that after the generous donations from those selling items, we raised 460 Euros for our charity accounts and another 155 Euros by selling coffee, drinks and popcorn. All of the proceeds go to St. George´s School projects or charities worldwide.

Unsold toys still in good condition will be donated to the Kinderkrankenhaus  on Amsterdamer Strasse in Cologne. Thanks to all of you who made this possible.
